Three of us, one disabled, had lunch here. The food was good and resonably priced. The service was a bit slow but it was very busy and it was friendly. I won't hold that against them as the quality was excellant. View all feedback.
What DewildeMat doesn't like about Le Comptoir:
We booked a table at 19:00. We stood inside in their empty restaurant at 18:50 and they told us to go outside because the reservation is only at 19:00. Extremely arrogant and unfriendly. I think it was the chef. Do not recommend! View all feedback.
We found this traditional French restaurant in Boulogne Had the best Duck, Prawn crochets we also had the Veal kidney flambéed with cognac (this took a bit of getting use to our poor English palette). The Chocolate mousse was to die for

Staff were odd, not very warming or attentive, also no music felt like a canteen. We ordered cocktails and I’m no cocktail connoisseur but they were just so basic and tasted like juice. Then we ordered the crevettes too start and they weren’t cleaned properly, poo shoots still in them. For mains we had an under cooked cod with risotto and the pork leg which looked like it had just been cut off my dead nans leg. No all jokes aside though, it was completely and weirdly raw, it was a joint so lots of fat but the fat was just like a jelly
Super restaurant with high and very good atmosphere. To be recommended without hesitation
Super restaurant, and the staff is great! I'm glad to be here anyway, I'm not gonna miss coming back to my next stay in Boulogne! It was really delicious, I highly recommend it!!!
