They were happy to let us take our time so coffee, A break then light lunch, my wife had soup de Poisson and a small seafood plate for me .. both excellent. We reserved a table before going for a long walk along the seafront. As it gets very busy it is advisab... View all feedback.
What Mark B doesn't like about Brasserie Hamiot:
The restaurant could be termed traditional French brasserie or old fashioned. We elected to eat dinner on Saturday and wished we hadn't bothered. Service was good but the cooking was terrible. I had oysters which were good. My wife elected to eat scallops gratinated with cheese. It was overlooked, the sauce was sweet and gloopy. Main courses I ate the scallops and gambas in garlic butter. Paid £70 for 3 x cheese on toast, one burger and fries, 4 coffees and 4 lagers. Cheese on toast was awful it was 1/2 slice bread in a dish with about 1/2lb melted cheese on top couldnt eat it. Would never go in again.
We had a couple of drinks here then decided to eat, everything about this restaurant is very good, the staff are so friendly and attentive,we chose the large Moules frittes and we struggled to eat it all but we did. Thank you it was a very enjoyable experience

I had oysters which were good. My wife elected to eat scallops gratinated with cheese. It was overlooked, the sauce was sweet and gloopy. Main courses I ate the scallops and gambas in garlic butter. The gam as had been well prepared with the tract removed. The scallops were a disaster, poorly prepared and over cooked the accompaniments were similarly over cooked. My wife elected to have the salmon and seafood tagliatelle. Quite dreadful over cooked salmon and poorly cooked pasta. Cost about £90 with water and a carafe of Macon Blanc.
Impeccable service and very pleasant. varied and adapted to children. excellent quality kitchen, for a very reasonable price. view on the port.
It wasn't the first time we came to the hamiot brewery. It's the first time we're disappointed 1 hour waiting, or almost, before being served. There were people, of course, but it is not an excuse. arrival at 12:45, departure at 14:30, or nearly 2 hours for a dish. concerning the dishes, okay for a fish dish and a scallop. On the other hand, the mussels, mariners for one, chicken for another, were missed. Too cooked. very hot when arriving on the table, warmed in less than 5 minutes, as if they had been warmed in the microwave before seeing the service pot. We will return for a final notice, we put our disappointment in the accident box. It's still a shame when people are invited by making them mirorate the excellence of the establishment.
