It was the only Thai restaurant nearby where I was able to mak... read more I chose this little gem because it was rated highly on the fork and I was craving some Thai food. It was the only Thai restaurant nearby where I was able to make a reservation a few hours before dinner. The rooms were dimly lit creating a cozy and romantic atmosphere. The gentleman who greeted us was friendly and enthusiastic. He explained the dishes with great pride and excitement. His energy was contagious. We ordered two glasses of champagne. The glasses were so tiny but the champagne was great so I forgave him. I ordered the papaya salad and the shrimp pad Thai Both were delicious. I didn't taste the papaya, but papaya has no flavor anyway so I wasn't disappointed. My partner ordered the special, carpaccio de salmon and saute de beuf Thai. His dish was even better than mine. The sauce was phenomenal with a touch of heat. The vegetables in both dishes were fresh and plentiful. For dessert I had the flan, which was not the flan I was expecting. I am used to the Mexican flan. This flan was more cake like. It was not too sweet and had a unique look and flavor, which I liked. My partner got the banana nem which was very good. Both deserts were presented beautifully with a physalis fruit on top. We enjoyed our evening so much we would like to return again in the future.
