Came here today for the first time for lunch from the cottage and had a great lunch. Awesome food! The smoked salmon linguini was amazing and the chicken club with BBQ chicken breast and really great fries was really good! What a great spot and find. The waitress we had was very friendly and personable too. We'll be back! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Restaurant l'Huile d'Olive:
The food was subpar and overpriced. We ordered Bruschetta and received two small pieces of bread for $20. The grilled meat we ordered was tough and came with French fries that tasted like they had been reheated multiple times, costing us $40. The total bill came to about $100 per person. The only positives were the restaurant's location by a beautiful lake and the good service. View all feedback.
I have eaten here about a dozen times and I always love it from dinners with my husband to a family reunion. My only sadness is that the table hote is gone from the menu and I dont know why it was an amazing deal and changed weekly and I loved it Bring it back please!!
We enjoyed a very pleasant summer dinner at l’Huile d’Olive. It was much better than the last time. Service has always been good, but the dish presentation wasn’t very good in the past. Now food is cooked properly and presented with care and creativity. Servings are generous so main courses can easily be shared. Yes prices are on the high side but it’s good value and the setting is beautiful.
We have a holiday home on the beautiful 31 Mile Lake and were hoping that this restaurant would be a much-needed amenity, as there are really no other fine dining options within a 50km radius. While the food is the best within this 50km radius, there isn't much competition. However, the prices are on par with those in a large city. Now, let me tell you about the service. I called three days in advance to make a reservation, but received no answer, so I stopped by in person to make the reservation. When my wife and I arrived for dinner, they had no record of our reservation. We were offered a single outdoor table on a rainy evening with temperatures at 16 degrees. We decided to postpone our anniversary dinner until we returned to the city.

You would never know the effects of corona virus restrictions placed on this property, except that the servers wear masks, the tables were further apart and the menu was a "simple use" and maybe somewhat limited. In one word, our meals were nothing but excellent. The servers were friendly and knowledgeable. The visit to the wine cellar is worthwhile. A table on the balcony overlooking the lake and facing the shore in unspoiled beauty is simply the icing on the cake.
