We decided to stop by this tearoom located on the A158 in Friskney for a spot of tea for two. The dishes being enjoyed by other diners all looked delicious. The service and staff were top-notch. We will definitely be coming back. View all feedback.
What loasbys doesn't like about The Old Pottery:
We called in the Old Pottery for a cup of tea and a slice of cake, because we had been here before and have loved it, we regularly buy pieces of art made by local artists, we walked in at 11.30am the place was empty we were asked if we had booked, we told them no but we only popped in for a cup of tea and a slice of cake, two minutes later the boy came back and said we have no space, really 15 empty tables and nobody... I had been here before with my daughter Grandsons for coffee cake a few times it was always lovely so thought I would take my Husband for lunch on his birthday;
Visited the old pottery today with my Mum we will definitely be returning! Lovely little selection of local craft gifts and the food was great! We had the potters platter absolutely delicious! We will be having afternoon tea next time! We were warned when we arrived that food may be delayed slightly owing to staffing but we were more than happy to wait. Excellent service! Couldn’t wish for more!
Lovely lunch with great food and very friendly staff. Very enjoyable experience and one not to be missed if you are in the area.
I was taken to the Old Pottery Cafe by my dad and Aunt, they live nearby and enjoy going.
We were returning from Skegness to Boston, and looking for a late light lunch, when we saw this craft shop cafe at Wrangle. And what a find. A very warm welcome even though it was close to closing time and a large party had just left. Excellent light menu, and what's even more important to us a gluten free option. Gluten free soup with gf rolls followed by gf warm scone heaven for my wife. I went for a cream cheese, celery and walnut sandwich. The side salad was the usual lettuce/tomato/ BUT there was also a large helping of their special house salad again very tasty and at the other end of the plate decent crisps. This accompanied with first class service, a free refill of the tea pot, and a homemade cookie afterwards and change from £15. Then there were the tempting and original crafts all around. Really pleased we stopped here I wish them well in their new venture.
