Description

Nestled in the heart of Boston, Boston Spice offers a mixed bag of culinary delights for Thai cuisine enthusiasts. While the restaurant boasts fresh ingredients and generous portions, authenticity appears to vary. Dishes like curries often lack the depth expected, and some flavors may lean more towards a fusion than traditional Thai. Service has received mixed reviews, oscillating between efficiency and warmth. Though not every aspect hits the mark, diners appreciate the pleasant atmosphere and occasional standout dishes. Whether it’s an occasional visit or a casual meal, Boston Spice remains a place worth exploring for a spontaneous dining adventure.

Not the most authentic Thai food but tasty enough and with lovely fresh veggies. Spice has definitely been dialled down here and some of the curries didn’t have the lovely depth of flavour we’d expect. The sweet chilli sauce was very sweet but lacked the chilli heat, but the little corn fritters were very good. Service was excellent and it’s a nice venue.

Ordered a family takeaway and driven in from Swinesehead to collect and the food was excellent. Exactly what we ordered, hot and ready on time. The best Pad Thai we've had for a long time. Well worth the travel and we will be back.

We were quite regular visitors to Boston Spice before covid and have really missed it. Always usually sit in so tried a takeaway for the first time and it was fantastic. Great value and quality! Prawns to start are always my favourite and my husband loves the chicken satay, beef massaman always great too, thanks very much x

My wife and I had an evening meal here last month. Having lived and worked in Thailand I was looking forward to an authentic Thai meal. The beef massaman curry was underwhelming compared with massaman curries I have enjoyed in Thailand. This one was quite bland and uninteresting beef and potato chunks flaoting in a bland gravy. No depth or richness to it. Rice was not included as a side dish.Service was efficient and we didn't have to wait too long for our dishes to arrive. My wife enjoyed her noodle dish. It even had a couple of those decorative carrot flowers with it a nice touch.Nice location in the heart of Boston close to the river. On the whole it is okay but personally, I wouldn't hurry back there.

This little Gem of a restaurant was recommended by a local. We turned up to find all 6 tables full and had to wait 40 mins to be seated but was okay, plenty of bars to get a drink near by). Next time we will book a table. The food is exquisite! Will be coming back here for more of the Thai yellow curry! The main was served with a fantastic eastern chafing dish to keep it warm.We loved every minute of the meal! Feeding 3 people with multiple drinks and two courses for under £70 is impressive! We will be back!
