I was staying at Onyx hotel and the breakfast wasn't included in my rate. I didn't want the breakfast buffet because it was too much food for me. So I committed the mistake of ordering a bowl of cereals. The server looked like an old...
We were staying at the Onyx Hotel, which offers a nice wine social hour for their guests. They also provided samples of their flatbread pizza and it was so good we ordered one from the restaurant. It was phenomenal! The next evening we tried the...
Staying at the Onyx and ate dinner here because it was too cold to go out. Good burger- interesting combination with the egg and blue cheese.
Its quite a small area attached to the Onyx hotel just like a small hotel bar we didnt make use of the facility we just stayed in the hotel.
Met Joe, who tends the bar. He made a wonderful Blanco Margarita for my companion. Located just off the Kimpton's Onyx Hotel on Portland St, this is a relaxed spot suitable for enjoying drinks or dinner with sweethearts or friends.
Nestled in the lobby of the Kimpton Onyx Hotel, the Ruby Room offers a cozy spot for drinks and bites before events at nearby TD Garden. While the intimate atmosphere and friendly service have garnered praise, consistency remains an issue. Guests have reported slow service, particularly during busy times, with a limited menu that ranges from delightful crab cakes to average breakfast wraps. Despite its shortcomings, including a sometimes haphazard execution of orders and a cramped dining area, the Ruby Room stands as a convenient option for hotel patrons seeking a laid-back dining experience in Boston.

We stayed at the hotel and came to the Ruby room for breakfast as it was raining. The room itself was very spacious and they offer free coffee and tea for Kimpton guests. But the food was very mediocre. The eggs Benedikt was Blande. The cornberry hash was too oily. The service was attentive.
We stayed at Onyx for 4 nights and ate breakfast here every morning. It is a buffet Monday and Tuesday and the rest of the week guests order from a menu. The lady serving Arlene? was very friendly and helpful, but I felt that this place had gone downhill since our stay in 2016. For the starter I know that the room is limited, but putting the bacon into the same dish as the potatoes is certainly inappropriate? We are both vegetarians and that made it difficult for us to get a lot of breakfast for the money it costs. The cunning egg was good and there were toast and pastries available, but holding meat and not meat dishes apart is certainly not a brain? The situation in the evening was even worse. On our first ngiht there was no one in sight in the bar so that we were closed, there were no signs for opening hours everywhere. On our second day I asked the reception if we could see the dinner menu as we were talking to our nephew. He printed it out for us and it looked like there was at least one dish we could eat. During the wine hour we sat at a table near the entrance and the waiter gave menus to the tables. A short glance showed that there was little similarity to what we had been given earlier. My husband politely asked the Chap if that was the menu for the evening and he said yes. They said that it was not the one we had been given earlier, he sworn and said, "This is all we have in one take or let it sound the voice. We quickly searched for a restaurant nearby. It was not so much the menu, but the attitude that ratified us. On our last ngiht we took our nephews into a very nice Italian restaurant. Back to the hotel we decided to have a drink in the Ruby room before he went back to his apartment. My husband ordered a beer, my nephew a coke and I asked for a coffee and a glass port. The order came without the port. My husband called the waiter over another one from above and got the answer "I didn't know what that was. " This was even though it was a chocie of 3 ports on the drinks menu. More importantly, who ignores an order because they don't know what it is? All in all very unsatisfactory. It's a shame because the hotel is okay, and I feel that this place gives it up.
I stayed at this hotel and had breakfast both days. The breakfast was excellent! My son particularly loved the eggs served over corned beef hash. I had the eggs with hash brown potatoes, and everything was fantastic. The service was great, and the substantial breakfasts kept us satisfied all day. I would definitely eat there again.
I decided to elevate my experience a bit before heading to a Bruins game. The meal was good, though not outstanding. However, the service was truly exceptional.
Breakfast at this cute boutique hotel was very good. You can order a great breakfast or nosh on the juice and cereal bar that is always available. The service was polite and quick!

Overall, I was quite happy with my experience at the Ruby Room. I had the chance to meet some friends after work, and I ended up getting there first. As soon as I walked in, I was...
I ordered a burger, and it was just okay. However, I have to give our server Joe five stars. He was the only staff member working and managed bartending, serving, and bussing all on his own.
