As a vegetarian, I ordered the #1 Xi'an Hand-pulled BiangBiang noodles, while my husband opted for the #2, which includes pork. We both chose the spicy option, and we absolutely loved our meals. The dishes were not only delicious but also very filling and healthy, as they are steamed rather than fried. We noticed that the other customers, who were primarily Chinese, seemed very pleased with their meals as well. This place definitely has a great reputation for quality. We’re looking forward to returning soon. I’ll also share photos of the menu and hours for anyone interested. By the way, the host mentioned they might be changing their name to emphasize their noodle offerings. We can't wait to visit again!
I visited Chef Chang's three years ago, and I haven't been able to catch them open since then. The eggplant dish there is legendary. I'm writing this review to show my support while I eagerly await their reopening. Please come back!
Some people claim it’s authentic, and while I can’t judge that, I can say it’s definitely not your typical dining experience, and it’s incredibly tasty. It is a bit pricier than average, but the staff are very friendly. Both of our dishes were quite salty, which usually makes me concerned, but I wonder if that’s just part of the style here. The eggplant, as others have mentioned, is outstanding. The chicken dish featured a lot of that unique Sichuan pepper that creates a numbing sensation in your mouth, which I really enjoyed. I’ll undoubtedly return. Just be ready to drink plenty of water in the days following your meal!
We ordered food and picked it up. The food was really good, the spicy is actually spicy. A bit pricey. Not all dishes come with rice if it does not say it comes with rice assume it does not. I will be trying again , looking forward to eating in the restaurant next time.
Wow what a find during our stay in Boston. Small, somewhat crowded place with efficient pleasant server (she was a one woman band of waiting on tables, answering phone and getting food for take out orders). Peking duck, crispy dried beef, cold sesame noodles and dumplings all delicious. Would highly recommend giving this place a try
