Old Kingdom Peking Duck Restaurant

The two things going for this place are the cheerful staff and the duck.I'd go back again for the duck. I'd ignore everything else! The Kang kong was generous but tasted bland. The mah po tofu didn't even taste like it had white pepper, let alone Szechuan peppers! One word of advice... bring your own wines.

This is a popular Peking duck 'factory' which is always full of people eating... Peking duck! For the privilege, ignore the rude receptionist who told you that you have 2 hours and have to get out by certain time, that you need to pre-order the number of ducks and cannot change your mind later on. Once settled down, focus on the dish in front of you. It is good. Don't let the creepy pictures on the wall turn you off. Use the paper serviette to clean your hand. Don't go to the wash room, the not-so-clean toilet will ruin your appetite. But somehow, it is always full. People must be coming here to 'work hard' on the ducks and ignore everything else!

This a place that was full on a Tuesday night and had people waiting, so make sure you book ahead of time. This place is a little out of the way public transport close it is only 5 min walk to Surrey Hills railway station. All that said it is worth a visit for the Peking Duck alone some of the best I have had, with home made pancakes and lovely crispy wonderful flavoured Duck. You have to go there make the trip.

Still the best peking duck you can find in town. They also serve other good taste food other than the peking duck such as the sweet sour pork

Awesome duck! Fabolous noodles and soup.i usually don't overlike Chinese food but that duck brought me to heaven :D
