Crystal Dragon Restaurant - Boroondara

Wasn't been for 18 months due to an earlier bad experience in Crystal Dragon, but another Chinese restaurant gave very small portions of food, so I thought I would try again....WHAT A MISTAKE. Just have more of the same incredibly small napkins and the... SanChoi Bao was not duck only rice mixed with a small amount of something. It was almost 7 pm on a Saturday mid April 2022 and there was no single person eating there. The Main of Beef was enough to feed a toddler, not even 1 adult. Prawn Toast was like frozen Woolies Microwave product. The place must be sold for sale or simply because there is nothing for it. There are a few in Doncaster so. Very small served and not good to eat. GOD SOMEWHERE ELSE is my OPINION. I am pleased to be contacted to check. Only Rubbish CRYSTAL DRAGON has earned this review. See if you're silly.

It has been a while since we joined our friends for a meal here, in fact about 2 years. The employees were somewhat uninterested, so this was not added to our experience. The food was incredibly mediocre, starting with the chicken and...pork san choi bao we have ordered each as our starter. The fried duck was as if it were reheated, dry and miss the beautiful aromas that one expects from a good roast duck. The other four dishes we ordered were also quite common. As we Chinese regularly enjoy, we know what is good and very good and what is just terrible. Unfortunately, in this case, I must say that everything was just terrible. I can say confidently that we will not be back. .

Even though we lived close by, we had never dined at this restaurant before. What a gem of a local Chinese restaurant! The food was excellent and the staff were very friendly. The dishes were not greasy, packed with vegetables, and the recommendations were delicious. They were also very accommodating for those with gluten intolerance. Highly recommend trying this place out.

Recent visit and suitably impressed. Clean food, quality ingredients and attentive staff. A cut above average and will definitely return.

This is a small Chinese restaurant that never fails to please. The restaurant is casual dinning but the food is always great. I cannot recommend this highly enough for the quality of the food at a reasonable price
