A small coffee shop but very friendly and the coffee was delicious. Nice and bright and well laid out despite the size. Limited food offerings (not much GF that I could see) but standard cafe fare for sure! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Butter Dish:
It is just outside the Camberwell food market and is a small shopfront with seats inside and out. I found my coffee strong, but sour. The staff have a rapport with regulars. View all feedback.
Had a quick lunch here on a very hot day. The cafe is very small, but does have indoor seating. It is right next to the south entrance of the Camberwell market. There were 4 people behind the counter working in a space for two. I know it was lunch time but everybody behind the counter seemed to get in each other's way. What I had to eat was tasty and it finally made it to my table. It must be a popular place though because there were lots of customers. It's a bit disconcerting when the customers waiting for take out lean all over the table on which you are trying to eat because the cafe is so small. Once again I am surprised at the cost of everything in Australia. Surely a sandwich and a juice can't escalate up to $19. The juice was $4.50 for a pack of six at Lidl across the street. I might eat there if I could persuade them to open a cafe. Perhaps Camberwell is up market and people can afford the prices.

I love the Poke bowls here, have tried a few varieties and they are all good. My favourite though is the chicken teriyaki.
I stopped at this little cafe for coffee and a snack and was pleasantly surprised. Friendly staff, quick service and good coffee. Inexpensive snacks to have with your cuppa.
