What Juana Yundt doesn't like about Bar Sur Loup:
You cannot fault the ambiance it is really quite lovely so fresh and inviting. My son had a caramel thickshake which was absolutely superb and I appreciated the efforts of the staff to get the thickness just right for him. Unfortunately the almond and custard croissant that we ordered left a lot to be desired. It was quite dry did not have anywhere near enough custard and just overall was rather blah. There are many... Always a pleasure to go there for a Coffee and some cake, staff is always professional and friendly.
Travelling through Melbourne on a lovely sunny morning we stopped at a small shopping strip and discovered Bar Sur Loup - La Petite Patisserie.Late Breakfast/Early Lunch so we chose the Egg & Bacon Crepe. It was a really light & golden crepe folded as a square casing for the Egg, Bacon & Spinach with a small side bowl of creamy Hollandaise Sauce. So creamy and yummy. Everything cooked perfectly. Coffee was great tasting and hot.Team were very friendly and obliging. A lovely place to stop for a treat.
I have been coming to Bar Sur Loup for years (so much so that my little boy thinks it's his cafe!) and have always been made to feel welcome. The coffee is of a high calibre (I used to live in Brunswick so always compare to cafes there) and the food is delicious. Kids/families are welcome and the staff are brilliant. There is parking directly out the front too.
Bar Sur Loop is tucked away in suburban Balwyn in a small strip shopping centre. It is a small café, with good food. A pleasant atmosphere with friendly and helpful staff and some menu choices not seen elsewhere with a French influence. Some specialties are crêpes with savoury fillings, pancakes, delicious croissants. Very good coffee. Well worth a visit.
I have been coming here for the last 3 month on a Saturday morning for a nice coffee & lemon crepe so nice yum yum . I've had such a wonderful experience and unbelievable service by all staff. Simple good old service with a smile and very friendly. Well done to all !!!!
