Bambaleros - Boroondara

Few weeks ago I caught up with a friend and had coffee and chocolate here. We took up a table inside as outside was bitterly cold.Service was prompt, water plentiful and seating was comfortable and cosy - just what was needed for a long catch up conversation between two friends...At one point the conversation was so animated one of the chocolate cups was knocked over - the spillage (our fault!) was cleaned in no time at all and as a bonus the drink was replaced with no extra charge - now that is what I call great service!I would recommend Bambaleros to anyone who wishes to have good coffee and unhurriedly enjoy charming ambience of Mailing Rd precinct.

Ordered the smoked salmon stack and poached eggs 40 minutes later our meal arrived.The salmon arrived without onion sour cream and dill.The cream cheese was a thin scrape.My eggs looked tattered.When I informed the waitstaff to the above she informed me about the new chef.Still paid full price for the salmon despite the omissions.I informed her that we would not be returning.She didn't care nor do we.This used to be a lovely place to eat.

Went to Bambaleros today, expecting a nice lunch. Very disappointed! Definitely overpriced and undersupplied. Will not be returning!!!

Побывали в этом заведении. Вкусно. Огромные порции. Еда домашняя, ресторанных изысков здесь нет. Сытно, без изысков. Дешего. Обслуживание оставляет желать лучшего. Девочки с недовольными лицами. Говорят только на латышском. Вернемся, если альтернативы на тот момент не будет.

Love the colombian burrito been here a few times, also the croquette's are awesome. Service is pretty friendly only negative I have is the service is a bit slow, run out of water and they don't tend to replace the bottle until you ask or clear the table for awhile, improve on this area and it would be pretty perfect for me.
