The quality was excellent; I loved it. It is small and often crowded so you may have to return later if you want to sit inside.

Its success is not in its entirety based on the quality of its food or the creativity of its menu. Let's face it: It owes most of the glory to the lack of decent competition. If you have never had fast food before, you will be delighted. That may not be the case for everyone, so don't expect any surprises. Fries are a bit too wobbly and lack decent seasoning. All sauces and dips pretty much taste the same. But any fried fish is a solid choice and well executed. Try the Kibbelinge or a Backfischfilet. And get a Grauburgunder to wash it down with. This place could easily be turned into a legend. Just add a home made chunky curry sauce, bring in something fresh via some tiny ottolenghi salads, add a selfmade mayonnaise, maybe even a tomato chutney and, pretty please, replace the boring wine list with something of structure.
