Description

Once-beloved neighborhood taproom now a study in contrasts. Its craft beers — notably a praised porter — and relaxed indoor/outdoor spaces with couches make it an inviting hangout. At the same time patrons report inconsistent food and charcuterie quality and uneven, sometimes slow service, and occasional misleading online hours under new ownership. The combination of excellent drinks, comfy vibe, and reliability issues leaves this spot appealing to beer lovers but precarious for diners seeking consistent culinary experience.

The quality of the food has really declined; it used to be excellent. I'm not sure what happened to the charcuterie board, but it now tastes like a processed lunchable.

I’m really disappointed that you listed this restaurant as open online, but when we arrived, it was closed. The service was lacking, and the advertising is misleading.

When the food arrived, it was almost amusing how poor it was. Let me clarify: it wasn't that the food was improperly prepared; rather, the overall quality was simply awful. Everything we had was subpar. It's clear that the new owners have opted to cut corners on food quality in an attempt to boost profits, and I can assure you that this strategy will backfire. While they may have made a quick profit off my family and me this time, they've lost us as customers for good. Unfortunately, we won't be returning. I predict that this place will be out of business within two years. The charcuterie board was the worst I’ve ever encountered. It featured cheap cheeses, unappetizing crackers, and inferior meats, a far cry from the wonderful selection of high-quality meats and cheeses provided by the previous owners. I could go on, but I’ll stop here. It's disheartening to see that the new owners seem to have no understanding of quality food and a very shortsighted approach to running a business.

This place is one of the best experiences I've had while drinking a porter.. an Undead Porter! Whoever is brewing this beer knows exactly what they are doing. Yvonne and Curt are an inspiration (being almost 50 years married) and the place is really comfy! This is a great idea if you are experiencing the magic of Oregon. Also the beer is made with the cleanest water in the world. Ask about it when you go!

Ruben is such a chill worker. Never met a more polite kid. I will be continuing going here as long as he works there. Seems like he has worked at dutch before but not sure.
