The food is delicious here!!!! Best Mexican dishes in the area hands down. The restaurant is in an old car dealership show room, so still has some features from its old glory days. The staff is very friendly and the place is clean. Highly recommended if you're in the area visiting or even if you live nearby. View all feedback.
What Arlo Denesik doesn't like about Angie's Luncheonette:
We had high expectations due to the restaurant's excellent rating, but unfortunately, it didn't live up to the hype. To be honest, I'd recommend going somewhere else—it's simply not worth it. The food was barely warm when it arrived, and our waitress wasn't very attentive. When we requested condiments, it took so long that our food cooled down even more. Interestingly, the restaurant itself felt unusually warm; it wa... View all feedback.
The entire hotel is in a deplorable state and appears poorly maintained. There is a strong odor of cigarettes and marijuana throughout the premises. It is evident that illegal activities, such as drug use and prostitution, are taking place, while the staff seem to overlook it all. We witnessed several individuals visibly under the influence of drugs, as well as a noticeable drug exchange occurring in the hallways, where many suspicious characters were hanging around. We also noticed towels stuffed under numerous doors, likely to mask the smell of smoking. Additionally, the hotel seems to function as a long-term residence for homeless individuals and those receiving welfare support. My partner and I felt extremely unsafe during our stay. Had it not been midnight and in need of a last-minute accommodation, we would have certainly left. This was the most unpleasant hotel experience imaginable. For your own safety, I strongly advise against staying here, and it is absolutely not a suitable place for children.
Thank you so much, Miguel! As a New Mexican currently living here, I’m thrilled to have discovered this place. The mole rojo is absolutely amazing—I’m almost at a loss for words. I took a chicken empanada to go, and it was so delicious the next morning that it inspired me to write this review.
This establishment is affordable and conveniently located near I-95, but that's where the positives stop. The interior and exterior doors were broken, smashed, and not secure. The carpets were stained, and despite being a non-smoking hotel, there was a persistent smell of smoke throughout. The rooms were not properly cleaned, and the bathroom had clearly never been maintained, with mold and dirt in the bathtub. I contacted management and Agoda, but my review was removed by Agoda, and management never responded. It's disappointing to expect a refund in such circumstances. It's unacceptable that this hotel charges for conditions that compromise health and safety.
When the server asked how my meal was, I shared my honest opinion about how terrible it was. I could even hear her mocking my comments in the kitchen, as if it were a joke. I told her I was going to grab a pizza on my way home since I was still hungry. The manager should probably spend some time in the kitchen because suddenly he was out front acting as the manager. He didn’t offer any apologies or adjustments to my $38 bill. Angie’s used to be delicious. We used to visit twice a month before COVID, but not anymore. The only highlight of our visit was Faye—she truly is amazing!
I had breakfast with my family, and the service was quite good. I ordered pancakes, eggs, and potatoes. The pancakes and eggs were excellent, but I found the potatoes to be a bit dry for my liking. However, that’s just my personal preference.
