Booked a table for lunch a couple of weeks in advance of meeting friends during a long weekend in Bordeaux. Arrived at the restaurant to find it closed. No sign on the door saying why. No warning or explanation although they had my email address. That afternoon I got an email asking how we enjoyed out meal. No reply to my feedback that the restaurant was closed. The food is really, really good in a classic French sense. Outstanding wine available as well. The waiter does not have the irritating habit of filling your wine glass when you are not looking. No cheese plate on the menu for desert.
It was our last dinner in Bordeaux. Many times we choose a restaurant on TripAdvisor and do not check others, we eat there. This time we were walking on the streets without any idea and checked a few restaurants. And we found a real gem. This place is in the shadow of a big restaurant and even bigger old tree. Unfortunately, they could not give us an english menucard. HOWEVER the owner himself explained each dish one by one and added a small story or an interesting details, like how they prepare them. He was so kind, friendly and enthusiastic that although I did not want to eat burger after his presentation i chose it and was a fantastic decision. To imagine easier the dishes, some photos have been attached. However I won 't be able attach any photos about the atmosphere we were able to enjoy. Highly recommend! And try the Egiategia wine from the see. Further information from the owner :-D
In a square where massive and commercial restaurants are spreading around, la petite maison offers you good food fait maison and great service. Highly recommended!!

La façade a changé et un nouveau nom se profile "la maison de pierre". Très bon accueil, plats savoureux avec de bons produits et pizzas toujours rock'n roll. Pas peu cher (40 euros a deux pour un plat une boisson un café) mais sans regret. Délicieux et très bon moment sur cette place magnifique.
