Of the all you can eat I took 5 dishes and left. The wakame/salad d’algue came first and had lost its sheen which made me suspicious, I inspected it and it was fact going off also, it had been in the fridge pre-made a long time. I did not eat it. This worried me as it doesn’t need a chef to tell you a dressed salad of any kind won’t keep overnight. I took chicken skewers also and they came cold (surprising me, I guess this is how they come though? but also under cooked in the first place, i could not eat the second of the two because the first was barely cooked inside. There were steamed dumplings also and they had been put in a heater after steaming (presumably for takeout orders and had part dried going part hard. I had the chef special rolls sushi and these had come from a fridge also so the rice had gone. The battered prawns were ok though and freshly cooked. I was surprised at my bad meal, as the restaurant was busy and had good turnover of food. Others were enjoying their meals and the service when people ordered from iPad type consoles was super fast (impressive actually, almost military . I think I ran badly but overall I can see the restaurant is sacrificing quality of food for speed of service too much…. having to prepare so much in advance and rely over on fridges/heaters. For the less popular dishes this really shows badly. But the poor review stands I’m afraid, you’d expect if a waiter saw someone order a dish and not touch it, wouldn’t they ask them if it’s ok? I guess not though with an all you can eat restaurant. As I paid on exit I wasn’t asked how my meal was either (despite ordering so little which talked. They didn’t seem aware.
