Overall was ok, but very variable across dishes and waiters some great other quite average.
Very good restaurant in Bordeaux. Staff is very friendly and professional. The food is well prepared and tasty but has small portions (anyway it’s France). The environment is very cozy with nice decoration. The dish of the day is a good deal.
Less than average, overpriced place, wouldn’t recommend. Let’s start from the seating: we chose a place outside, and ended up on a table elbow to elbow with our table neighbours, to which we had to apologise in awkward French more than once. We had two starters and two mains, and asked for a recommendation on the wine. The waiter recommended a 45€ bottle which had absolutely nothing worth that price. It was ok wine, certainly not worth that price. My partner checked the price online and it costs 15€, quite a markup there. The starters of foie gras and beef were ok, with the beef taste completely overrun by the mountain of peppers in it. The chicken supreme main was dry and a bit flavourless, the potato mash going with it being similarly as bland. The beef tartare was a very good size, and looked like good meat: pity you couldn’t taste anything of it, as the pesto with which it was seasoned smothered any other flavour on the plate. We complained at the moment of the bill, and received apologies and nothing else.
