Not knowing what to expect, but loving the little white anchovies known as boquerones, we stopped into this neighborhood bar not far from our Airbnb for a bite... read more Not knowing what to expect, but loving the little white anchovies known as boquerones, we stopped into this neighborhood bar not far from our Airbnb for a bite to eat on our first night in Bordeaux. It was fabulous! Great wines, delicious food, and fun atmosphere. The boquerones were an amazing value: 3.5 euro for a generous helping of plump, delicious white anchovies, a far cry from the $5 we spent for 5 (yes, 5) tiny filets in Portland, ME upon our return. Anyway, go there, get the boquerones, and live like a local in Bordeaux.
