I had a nice dinner as couple. we, where welcomed with a small tour around the restaurant to choose the best place for us. the inner garden seemed tempting, but we choose to sit outside. the tables in which spaces were placed that raised us. we both took the menu to 19€ starter main course and dessert. that's worth it. they hardly find menus at this price more. the service was a little long, but this is because they are busy there and being fair, we have not reserved ourselves. eating was good and a good sort makes it hard to choose. I highly recommend it.
Chose Café Bastide for a quick, and in French terms rather late, dinner great choice! Beginning of August, about 25 degrees celsius, 21:15h, on the terrace: After waiting for a few minutes, the waiters attended us and with a mix of my rusty French and their not bad at all English /me destroying prejudices! we managed to know which dishes were still available. As I wanted to go for something simple, I did not mind that salmon, mussels, duck, chocolat mousse and apple tart were out. My choice, Burger Français , was delicious and filled me just about right! Self made beef patty, fresh ingredients see menu picture for more info . The salad, small portion served on the plate, was not seasoned. Their mayonnaise tated self made, a bit too much mustard for my personal taste. 4 stars for a nice restaurant café with friendly staff and good food in Bastide.
Food is good. When it 's crowded, the waiters are a little bit unfocused . But overall is a good place
The filthy menu should have provided enough foreshadowing for us to leave. Unfortunately, we sat through a truly awful dinner and to keep things short I will say: If there was a nuclear winter and this was the last restaurant open on Earth, I still would not eat here. Wait staff was rude, and overall just weird. The food is garbage for the price. We had a 40% discount from the Fork and the price quality was still bad. The lamb was severely undercooked. They offer wines on the list that they don't have in the cellar. Mainly, however, we just felt uncomfortable given the treatment that we received from the wait staff.
