Great resort. The plentiful watercraft/sailboats are in good shape, no waiting around to get access and there are knowledgeable and friendly staff (and they are waiting to help you, no searching for someone to help). Kids activities were more abundant than I realized, with a full game room with foosball, ping pong, table shuffleboard and board games with tables to play them. You must dine at your leisure to truly appreciate the ambiance. The cocktails and appetizers are excellent.
This is a beautiful waterfront restaurant with an excellent menu. The food was delicious! The service was friendly and competent, though the kitchen was a bit slow. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience, and it's definitely worth returning!
This resort caters primarily to families with children, so if the guests above you wake up at 5 a.m., you will, too. We could hear the family above us long before dawn, even with our sound machine and fans going. Additionally, despite indicating that three people would be staying in our reservation, we did not receive enough towels and bedding. The ice machine was also quite a distance from our room. On a positive note, the breakfast options provided at the resort were good and varied. The main reasons my husband, mother, and I chose this resort were for the views, the privacy, and the appealing restaurant that overlooks the ocean. While the views and privacy were indeed wonderful, I'll never visit that restaurant again due to a disappointing experience. We entered the restaurant on a Monday evening around 5 o'clock and were greeted by a woman who looked confused and was not very welcoming. She asked if we had a reservation, and when we said no, she and another staff member began mumbling to each other in their native language, despite the restaurant being completely empty. We simply wanted to sit down, enjoy a few drinks, and play some cards. The staff member didn’t even attempt to seat us and had to call over a manager to see if we could be accommodated. Eventually, a man seated us and took our drink order, but it took nearly 20 minutes to receive just one drink, even with no other patrons around. We quickly finished our drinks and decided to leave as soon as we could; we didn’t want to spend money in a place where we felt unwelcome. After paying nearly $500 a night, I expected much better treatment from the restaurant staff. We didn't even get a chance to try their food, as we chose to head into Boothbay for pizza instead and brought it back to our room. Coming from Minnesota, we are accustomed to more courteous service at resorts. That said, I must mention that the gentleman at the front desk was very nice. Overall, I’m glad we stayed to experience the resort’s unique beauty. However, given the high cost, the poor service at the restaurant, and the inconvenient location, I doubt we would choose to stay here again.

Overall an excellent time that surpassed our expectations.Walkability: Nice amount of grounds, but easily traversable.
We had our wedding here last weekend and already can’t wait to go back!! I could say 1 billion amazing things about this place from the location, to the food, to the staff, to the views, cabins, on and on! The wedding coordinator, Melissa, is phenomenal to work with from start to finish. She is clearly the most perfect match for that job and made our weekend more perfect than we could have ever imagined! Every single aspect of this venue was perfect and all of the staff were beyond wonderful. They truly made us feel like family! If you’re looking for a “local” destination wedding with THE coastal Maine vibe, this is your place!! Our guests were raving about the accommodations and unique aspect of being able to spend the whole weekend on site with just the wedding guests on property. My #1 piece of advice is GO VISIT THIS PLACE you’ll never want to leave! ?
