I was so happy when I gave Maleny diner a try. The prices are cheaper than all the other cafe's, and the staff are so friendly and welcoming. The prices are very reasonable at this diner compared to a lot of the other very trendy and some overpriced cafes in Maleny.If you want amazing surroundings then maybe dont come here'sOur meals were the breakfast wrap with bacon.egg.avocado plus for my husband eggs and bacon plus coffees and the total bill was $24 which was very reasonable and the meals were very generous. The service was excellent. This cozy café in a small mountain town is the perfect spot for a coffee and a light snack. The atmosphere is charming and the menu is modern. I would definitely come back again.
Please consider that this is a mountain town, so you can't expect the same options and competition as in cities when comparing them.
We stumbled across Java Lava while looking for a breakfast spot.
Had a terrific day all around Malany and Hinterland. Strolled around Malany and stopped in here for lunch. What a great lunch. With great service. The place was busy but care was taken to make everyone comfortable and well fed. Would recommend as a definite. And will be going back whenever in Malany.
We were undecided whether to eat there, so decided to have a cup of coffee. the coffee was OK but the table sticky and staff disinterested - old varnish i think. We didn't stay
