In my book, the measure of a good Mexican restaurant is how well they do on Carne Asada. Z South passed with flying colors. Nice tender cut grilled to perfection. It isn't worth the hype. The food is basic and the service was lacking, with seemingly no care from the staff. The waitress was especially disengaged. As for the guacamole... well, let's just say it was disappointing. Overall, I would rate the food a 3 out of 5. Price per person: $10–20.
