Every visit to Z South just gets better and better—it's no exaggeration! During a quick lunch with my wife, we shared the taco salad with carne asada. It was absolutely delicious! The crisp, deep-fried flour tortilla bowl was filled with fresh pico de gallo, generously topped with authentic grilled carne asada, and complemented by rice, beans, and shredded lettuce. If you don't mind paying for what's on the menu rather than what you actually receive, or if you're fine with being let down by your meal, then this place might be for you. It isn't worth the hype. The food is basic and the service was lacking, with seemingly no care from the staff. The waitress was especially disengaged. As for the guacamole... well, let's just say it was disappointing. Great Carne Asada plate. In my book, the measure of a good Mexican restaurant is how well they do on Carne Asada. Z South passed with flying colors. Nice tender cut grilled to perfection. Only was on the salty side, but that balanced out if combining with the rest of the plate. The short rib tacos were also quite good. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner

Mindy is amazing and consistently provides excellent service in Bonsall! The chips and salsa are delightful, and the chili verde plate is fantastic as well.
