The restaurant was very clean, and I really enjoyed the curries, especially the Madras. I don't know much about Scotland, but it felt like the area was a bit rough around the edges.
The starters were somewhat disappointing, but when the main dishes arrived, the flavors really shone through—they were amazing!
After waiting for an hour and a half, I am still waiting for my main course. The service has been terrible, and the portions for the starters were very small. I won't be returning.
We had been exploring various cuisines throughout the country, and this night was no exception. Each dish was beautifully presented in little Indian bowls with warmers underneath—a lovely touch. We never felt rushed. We started with Samosas—two on each plate—small, light, and crispy, filled with delicious lamb. The Nirvana Assorted Tandoori was good, but it was my least favorite of the night. I’ve never gone wrong with Butter Chicken at an Indian restaurant, and this time was no exception. Robert recommended the Murgh Mango Chicken Tikka Masala, which quickly became one of our favorites. The Beef Jalfrezi was wonderfully spicy and incredibly tasty. We also enjoyed Saag Paneer (spinach), Saffron Basmati Rice, Garlic Naan, regular Naan, and sweet Naan. Overall, it was an excellent dining experience!
