What Kayley Gutkowski doesn't like about Bonnie Bar:
We ordered the Mediterranean pizza and after we paid and settled in, we were informed that they were out of sun-dried tomatoes. To our disappointment, the pizza did not even have pesto on it, despite us mentioning there was just a little left before we ordered. To make matters worse, the pizza had 2 hairs in it. We will not be returning. View all feedback.
Enjoyed the food and the staff were polite. Worth popping in. Loved the fireplace too given it was winter time.
We ordered 2 pizzas ( Hawaiian and Mediterranean) and a pea and bacon soup to share among 3 adults and 2 kids. It was ample. We sat next to the fitre place and it was cosy on a winter's night. Pool table offered some entertainment while we waited. The beers were local and were not bad.
Lovely menu and very tasty - had good beer and wine prices and happy hour, very friendly, enjoyed our dinner and next day coffee here - pizza was fab and gnocchi was delicious!
I had just ridden 22km from Mansfield and was expecting my usual great coffee ( as per previous owners ) to be told "Sorry we've run out of soy milk". Given that any serious, self-respecting cafe knows/stocks the best brands that only come in long-life containers like Bonsoy and Vitasoy, I even offered to go to the store next door to buy some telling the cafe truthfully that "I only have $5 so if I buy soy milk from next door I won't have enough change for your addition of coffee". I expected a gesture of good will ; they could waive that problem by adding a free shot?!? Um .no.... she merely just apologised again! Hhm, it's not that hard to 1. Stock a 100 cartons of soy milk 2. Improve initiative & customer service. Will not be going there again. (1st world problem handled badly let's say)
We had one entree size and two main courses one was a Calamari salad a whole trout and a pork belly. The Calamari salad was very good, the trout was great. The pork belly was great but had no crackling. So if you like crackling I would suggest to perhaps ask for it, but this may have been an oversight no big deal.Would we go back again yes yes yes it is a great restaurant. Our previous visit before Xmas was faultless. Love the menu choices. Wally
