We stopped here for lunch with other great reviews on TripAdvisor and were not disappointed. Although we had only one night in the village, we ate here twice and it was fantastic. Very hospitable staff, efficient service and wonderful food. We would definitely go back if we got the chance. Local specialties and delicious salad companions. Good value. The village is beautiful, so is the valley, and it is hard to be very critical in such a context, but let you say that the crep and the drinks worked well, but that you have a bit to go to the ambience and service.... Although Au Vieux Pont has a simple outside appearance (and very simple decor and furnishing inside - very limited number of tables) they offer tasty local specialities (very rich in calories - be warned !) at attractive prices.Service at first "restrained" (not uncommon in France), gets friendlier over the course of the meal (especially if you make aan effort in French).
We made a last minute decision to eat here. Authentic rustic interior and menu packed with local specialities. The food was well priced and the service quick and friendly. I had the burger with Bonneval blue cheese with frites which was delicious. There was also a kids menu on offer. A few glasses of wine later (although I wish I'd had the vin chaud), it was a quick walk back to our apartment.
We ordered a ice cream cake in this place and found long black hair embedded in the ice cream cake.
