What Otho Senger dislikes about Maternus:
a restaurant that claims to be traditionally German (must have been), but that is not at all, but rather oriental inspired.Just without a lot of taste.Personal urges on consumption, but fast.Custom comfortable room card with selection View all feedback.
We were with six people in the local and both the steaks and the fish and the calfscarf have tasted very well. the sweet had bite, the sauces were very tasty and to finish the zabaione a great for themselves. We are very happy to come back here.
The facility and environment promised a lot, and it was pleasant here. the service was completely in order without notice, but we have probably expected a little more of eating. cheap ok
My pregnant woman had the calfscuffed with rösti and wood mushrooms. out of her eyes it was okay. I didn't taste it. I had the bark fillet with vegetables and potatoes. the sweet was not described in more detail on the map. I got 2 small grilled strips pumpkin the bunny hard was, a small piece burned zucchini, 1 red flower cabbage and 3 quartered carrots. the filet was garnished with a cocktailtomate through which a rosmarin branch was pulled and two small undamaged garlic. the meat was medium fried, very tasty and the jus too. the rest was unfortunately a fall. at over 33€ for the filet, I would have expected that you can eat everything on the teller. I complained, and I was offered to Alternatiw spinat, which I thanked and slightly disgusted. rinderfilet mit spinat? not my taste. Conclusion: were the first and last time here.
This was our first time at Maternus, and we were truly impressed. The ambiance is stylish, warm, and very inviting – you immediately feel at ease. The entire team is incredibly attentive and friendly. Carlos and Marcella, in particular, guided us through the evening with their warm and professional service. The culinary experience was a complete delight: from the appetizer to the main course and dessert, everything was outstanding. The absolute highlight was the zabaglione, freshly prepared tableside by the owner herself! A truly special experience and a taste sensation. A thoroughly enjoyable evening: highly recommended for anyone who appreciates excellent cuisine, a stylish atmosphere, and outstanding service.
A cozy restaurant with good service and good food in a pleasant atmosphere. We were there a few days ago with a group. The restaurant was full, probably due to the pre-Christmas season. Nevertheless, the service was quick and attentive. Orders were taken without any problems. The menu is concise, meaning the selection is limited. I had a Wiener Schnitzel. The schnitzel was good, but I would have liked more side dishes. The fried potatoes and salad were served in a small bowl. The schnitzel itself was quite large. I would have been happy with a smaller schnitzel and more sides. But that's just my personal preference. All in all, a recommendable restaurant. The price-performance ratio is fair.
