Staff was friendly and knowledgeable, but the menu had just one vegan dish (basically a plate of glass noodles with hardly any veggies and no protein) and one that could be veganised by dropping the animal ingredients (but that would then be little more than rice with salad; not appealing). So this is really not interesting. With a little bit of effort they could improve their offer a lot, but as it is now I do not recommend the place.
There are only two dishes that are veganized: Chan-che and the bibim -bab. The first are transparent noodle with a little bit of onions and spinach. It is OK. The second is practically a bowl of salad with a small amount of kimchi and a white rice bowl on the side. Bibim-bab is a mixed of veggies not green cheap salad. Yes price are cheap but considering what is given the food is not worth what one pays.
I recently visited Mandu in Bonn and was absolutely thrilled. The food is incredibly delicious – especially the mandu dumplings and the other Korean dishes, which impress with fresh ingredients, careful preparation, and fantastic flavor. The portions are generous, the prices are fair, and the value for money is excellent. It can get a bit crowded at lunchtime, but that speaks to the quality. Despite the crowds, everything is quick and efficient, the staff is friendly, and you feel welcome. I'll definitely be back!
