We haven't been here for a while but were doing errands nearby at lunchtime so we stopped in. I was a little nervous because the parking lot was empty and so was the restaurant, plus it was a little warm up by the counter. But we ordered and found a cool spot in the dining room, and were pleasantly surprised when the food arrived promptly and was great. My husband enjoyed his fish chips. The fish was fresh, the cole... What Monty Dolton doesn't like about Doug's Seafood:
How this place had 4.4 stars is insane. First the place was empty. Then the guy at the counter acted like I was the biggest inconvenience of the day just to order a small lobster roll and a crab cake. I’ve never had a lobster roll and wanted to try one, I love seafood but this was just ok. Crab cake was soggy and served over a bed of lettuce starting to go bad and the flavor was something not much better than buying... View all feedback.
I don’t usually write reviews. This place though has outstanding food at an extremely reasonable price. Recommend the haddock or snapper blackened. The atmosphere won’t be as nice as nearby locations like Coconut Jack’s or Fish House, but the fish just mentioned has been at least as fresh, sometimes fresher. Overall, worth the visit.

I’ve never had a lobster roll and wanted to try one, I love seafood but this was just ok. Crab cake was soggy and served over a bed of lettuce starting to go bad and the flavor was something not much better than buying a frozen crab cake and microwaving it. If it was just the food I’d give it a 3. But between some of the staff and the food I would definitely avoid this place
Fresh. Clean. Knowledgeable staff at seafood market.
The fish was fresh, the cole slaw was good and we both loved the french fries. My quesadilla was generously filled with shrimp and cheese. It isn't fancy but if you want good service and good food at very reasonable prices this is a great place to go.
I loved this place but recently they did a Chipotle move. There to go box for a large seafood basket is small. The cod fish was not from a fresh fish but manufactured because it had a bitter metal after taste and was no longer from a fillet bit more like fish sticks perfectly pressed like cod flake pieces. Sad if they believe that their regular patrons wouldn't notice the difference but they're going to spend money on expansion. Get a clue Doug's people notice and it's sickening when you look forward to a consistent flavor and quality and get sold this trash. Their lobster bisque is also mediocre and that's disappointing as well. Save your money go to Cape Coral to the Twisted Lobster if you want a really good seafood platter at a joint. Bye Doug's you've lost our family and we're letting all our friends know too.
