Contribute FeedbackI found this place a year ago... had shown houses in Chula Vista... with a short cut home through Bonita to the Freeway... and I was starved. The sweet little sign next to the Robinwood Liquor and hoping it would be decent. Had a hot ruby I remember since. So Terri, my wife, wanted a good Deli sandwich and we were going to Eastlake (East Chula Vista) and she reminded me that I had mentioned the big sandwich I had in this area several times. The contract was repeated a year ago! There is nothing better in a restaurant than consistency! It's small... saint... cute... with blue oil cloth tablecloths... and it's impeccable. The owner always has a smile on her face... and the experience is always a joy. There is even a great view over Bonita Valley to complement the fun experience. Nothing beautiful, but fun and good food. The prices are an incredible value... two couples sitting with us were smart enough to share a sandwich... we were happy to take a Doggy bag with another meal. Terri had a Pastrami Melt that she said was delicious... and I had another hot rub... and it was wonderful. They have no grill... so the bread was roasted and the ingredients were heated in a microwave... and the quality is top notch. The taste was to die. The service... prompt... friendly... and smiling. Don't miss this if you're in the area.
