Besides... read more The worst experience ever!!. Was there with my mom and my family from N. Y. We sat down around 1320 and ordered an antipasto and a first plate of pasta. Besides the fact that the antipasto had old mini mozzarella cheese and the ham served with it was cut too tick and had too much fat. We waited over an hour and our first plate were still not served ..so we had to leave without anything to eat because they made us waiting for over an hour for nothing and didn't care about us at all. But on my way out, I made sure to complain not only to the waiters (that were not responsive when we tried to approach them earlier to ask where our plates were??!! ..but my complaint was direct especially to the clerk behind the cash register that was in charge of the hotel restaurant and was not even wearing a uniform. I asked him to make sure we would not be' charged for the food we didn't even receive at the table. And instead of apologizing to us he said we could wait some more since 1 hour was normal for a first plate. We left! restaurant

We had a number of starters including about 3 4 seafood dishes, steaks, mixed grills and fish for mains, house wine and soft drinks...and a dessert. The bill came to about €150! Excellent value for money and the food was great. They also had baby changing facilities which is very rare for most Italian restaurants/hotels in this region. The staff were very friendly and threw in free coffees and digestivo at the end of the meal. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

We've been here three times now and we've always had some great seafood, which is odd since it's high in the hills, away from the sea. Their seafood salad is a platter full of cold cooked and raw fish that are so fresh and redolent of the sea it seems like we should be sitting on the sand! The fried platter that my husband always orders is equally good. One thing we enjoyed this summer was a pitcher of cold white wine infused with slices of fresh peaches. It was refreshing and a great complement to our meal. Even the desserts are tasty. My lemon tart was tart indeed and a most welcome end to our meal. My husband had the pear ricotta pie, always a good choice. Unfortunately, I don't always look forward to going to La Vigna because its cavernous room is loud and noise echos off every marble surface. On Sundays when families show up en mass, the noise becomes unbearable. Service is good, if sometimes brusque. But on the whole, La Vigna offers a great opportunity for a good meal at a decent price.

It was... read more Had an amazing birthday dinner here with my family during a visit. It was one of the best meals I've ever had. I ordered mussels and pacheri w/ lobster. It was divine. The grounds are gorgeous too! Affordable too!! Don't skip this place if you're in town.
