Very popular mountain resort and my foray into skiing on the east coast. Unfortunately, my experience was cut short by an accident, as I fell wrong on my skis and injured my knee, but I would like to commend the ski patrol team for their kind and efficient service in getting me down the mountain safely in a sled and driving me to the free infirmary for basic care and assessment. The team was so friendly and made me f... View all feedback.
What Ryan M doesn't like about Mid-mountain Lodge:
Visted March 2024, about an 8hr drive from Ohio. Nice ski resort, though not exactly a difficult resort to snowboard. Good runs, some fairly long. The gondola is a real perk to move people up to the peak. The price is outrageous for 0 night time lifts. Snowshoe is just sightly cheaper but offers night boarding. Mid-mountain is nice, though $18 for chicken tenders and tots is nuts. Glad we checked this ski resort off... View all feedback.
I'm happy to share my thoughts on Stratton Mountain Ski Resort in Vermont. From my research, I found that Stratton Mountain boasts an impressive 670 acres of skiable terrain and a vertical drop of 2,003 feet. With over 90 trails and plenty of off-piste options, there is something for everyone at Stratton. I recently visited Stratton after a 15-year hiatus and was blown away by the amount of expansion that has taken place since my last visit. The resort has added several new lifts and trails, making it a great destination for skiers and snowboarders of all levels. The resort also features a charming base village with plenty of dining and shopping options. One thing to note is that the crowds can vary depending on the day of the week. During the week, it's relatively quiet, but lines can get quite long on weekends. However, the resort does a good job of managing the crowds and keeping things moving efficiently. My girlfriend had her first two days of ski lessons at Stratton, and she couldn't stop raving about how much she enjoyed them. The teachers were knowledgeable, patient, and created a fun and supportive learning environment. The group lessons were perfect for beginners like her, and she felt comfortable and confident on the slopes by the end of her second day. While the snow was a bit lacking during my visit, the resort's grooming team did an excellent job of making the most of what they had. The snowmaking system at Stratton is also top-notch, with over 1,200 snow guns on site. This ensures that the resort is always able to provide quality snow conditions for its guests. Overall, I had a fantastic time at Stratton Mountain Ski Resort and can't wait to come back. It's a great option for anyone looking for a fun and varied skiing experience in Vermont.

This weekend was my first time visiting Stratton resort. I was there on Saturday January 27, 2024. We drove up from New Jersey to go snow tubing at Coca Cola tube park. I purchased 2 tickets for tubing from the customer service desk at the base of Stratton's Sun Bowl at 1:30pm on Saturday 1/27/2024. I was told when I purchased them that my tickets were for the 2pm time slot that same day. I was not given the tickets at the window. Instead I was instructed to walk over to the Tube park and get my tickets from the window counter. I arrived at the tube park at 1:45pm , fifteen minutes early for checking in. To my surprise, they could not find any record of my tubing purchase for 2pm. I waited patiently while he searched the computer. I provide proof of purchase receipt of the two tickets. And he had called the base desk at sun Bowl and spoke with the lady who had sold me my 2 tickets. He confirmed that she sold me 2 tickets. And went back in the system and found my information was incorrect. He told me that instead of tubing , I was sold climbing tickets?? And when I asked how we could resolve this issue, which was NO fault of my own, since I purchased these tickets from your ticket counter at Sun Bowl and I specifically asked for tubing tickets. Your employee who was working the ticket counter sold me the incorrect tickets. After 30 minutes of us patiently waiting to go tubing, he finally called a manager to resolve the issue. I was then told that the manager asked us to repurchase new tickets for tubing and afterwards that I should go back to the ticket desk at the Sun Bowl and request a refund for the previous tickets purchased.. How does that benefit the customer? That is an inconvenience to the customer. And no apologies or attempts to fix this mistake were made. This was handled very unprofessionally! And for that I am disappointed and writing this letter. I told both employees that I would be reporting this incident and that I would like a full refund of both tickets purchased and that I will NOT be visiting your resort ever again in the future. I was told it was an honest mistake, but then how come it took 30 minutes for a manager to be called, before I was told to purchase new tickets. By that time it was already past my 2:00pm time slot.
Super disappointed. My first time here after listening to my boyfriend rave about his childhood winter vacations skiing and enjoying the views from the mountain. We planned to ski two days. Day 1 was great with two feet of snow dropping the day prior. But when we wrapped up, we couldn't even grab a bite to eat! The shops are closed and the village felt like a ghost town. We had reservations late that night but the afternoon was totally boring. The next day, we were unable to ski at all I'm learning on the bunny hills and small greens and there were only 2 lifts running. No bunny hills or learning spaces were open how does someone just learning to ski actually learn if everything is closed ? We weren't offered anything for the expensive lift ticket or rentals until I finally found someone to complain to. Again, everything in the village except one coffee shop was closed we are so bored and disappointed we actually are leaving a full day early. Do not waste money or time coming here
This place is overrated. $167 a pass and it closes at 4pm doesn't have any lights. The an extra $70 to rent skies and its whole of bunch of guys there. I recommend going to Colorado or a small local mountain this place is not worth the money.
