Sabbaba - Bondi Beach
Sabbaba
Description
Sabbaba in Bondi is a great spot to grab some delicious Israeli food. With options like falafel plates and sabbaba bowls, you can't go wrong with the big warm portions. The falafels are a standout and the desserts are all vegan and amazing. While the atmosphere is bright and breezy, some reviewers have noted that the self-serve water and lack of table service can be a downside. Overall, if you're looking for a tasty and affordable meal in a relaxed setting, Sabbaba is worth a visit. Just be prepared for a more casual dining experience compared to other Israeli restaurants in the area.

This place serves the most delicious falafels that are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside! It is a must-try when you visit. As someone originally from Dubai, eating at Sabbaba reminded me of the flavors of the Middle East, it was extremely authentic. The portions are generous, and I had to take a break because I was so full. My friend ordered the falafel bowl and I got the chicken shawarma bowl with a side of falafels and halloumi chips. The halloumi chips were good but nothing special. The service was a bit slow, probably because it was a Saturday night, but it was worth it for the delicious falafels.
I used to love dining at this venue for its delicious food, relaxed atmosphere, and scenic location. The service was always impeccable and the food was consistently good. However, after visiting their new website on Campbell Parade, I was extremely disappointed. It seems like they have prioritized seating as many people as possible, resulting in small portions of not-so-hot food. The seating arrangement was cramped, with poor service and cleanliness standards. Unfortunately, I will not be returning and will instead be dining at Jump Street in Bondi Junction. It's a shame to see Sabaaba Bondi lose sight of their regular customers in pursuit of increased profits. Best of luck to them, but they have lost my patronage after many years of loyalty.
We were wandering around Bondi trying to decide where to eat and, in an attempt to eat somewhat healthily, we stopped at Sabbaba.
I eat here at least once a week when I am in BondiMy favorite is the "Sabbaba" falafel pitaThe Moroccan fish is very good.
