Set price of 14 euros for a three course meal that is served in a 1970s style canteen as you slide your tray along. Food was ok overcooked and dray as was on a hot plate and under hot lights. Quite plentiful. Below average though I'm afraid
After visiting this resort we decided to eat at this restaurant Very reasonable and food is hot and tasty. Not much variety but enough people were dining when we arrived It's clean and tidy staff only speak Portuguese but you can get by and their is always someone around who can help you We decided to select a variety so that we could share our meals and we were not dissapointed The location is ideal as it is below the entrance and wine store and it also has toilets nearby. The train station is also around 100 yards away but it is a motorised train not a proper train Their are other restaurants near by but we decided to dine here and had no complaints I hope this helps

We arrived, hungry, before twelve, were recommended to book a table in itself not easy) and to return at noon. I have never seen such chaos. It was totally unclear where the food was being served, though we were told to pay at the end, others were paying at the beginning, no one knew what was happening. The staff looked exhausted and stressed. It also was unclear whether it was waiter service or self service. Eventually a wIter came up, but behind him people were helping themselves. The food arrived buffet style very slowly, in the time we were there there was only a giant bowl of plain bowled rice and another of dry, unidentifiable meat. No sauce or gravy. A few simple salads. It looked so unappetising, there was no one to help, and at € 13 just not worth it. After another five minutes just waiting while others were served begore us, and no more food arriving, we walked out! Went to the kiosk by the lake, where they could only offer cheese, ham, or cheese a d ham sandwiches! Only one person serving a long queue. No menu, or price list displayed at either place. This place belongs to the last century and needs to wake up to what modern tourism should offer, instead of the worst of Portuguese fare. I have lived here many years, this reminded me of the 1970s in terms of quality! Please get andecent chef in, and good management. This place is otherwise gorgeous....with good management it could be the top attraction in Portugal. Sadly, let down by the peopke who run it........
