After a long ferry trip and drive from Sardegna, we stayed over for 1 night at a nearby hotel. We accidentally drove by Duca and Thought to just buy takeout for a quick dinner in our room before heading to bed. I asked the Chinese lady what a takeout costs but she said it depends on the weight (that’s what I thought she said) and she showed me the entire buffet. I felt suspicious of her vague answer about the price but decided to have 1 takeout. A waiter helped me with one takeout box and I asked for another small on for the rise, I said (and thought) “you can’t think I’m going to have it in the same box as the food”?! So he gave me a smaller box and tried to shuffle some rice in it but I said I wanted some noodles instead of rice in the box. After having filled my box with food (4 different courses) I went to the cashier to pay. The Chinese lady opened my food box to inspect what I had in it?! Why? Does it matter what I have when it’s a buffet takeout? For information, I took some spareribs, a pork wok, vegetables and a shrimp wok- all together in one box. She charged me 20 Euro for this! I asked her what the price for a buffet was but she didn’t answer. Instead I asked a waiter and he said 20,90 Euro for one person, all you can eat. She explained because I had two boxes, that’s why the price was 20 euro. I had a gut feeling something wasn’t right from the beginning and I shouldn’t have bought from the start! What a ripoff!!! The food wasn’t even good and was full of oil. Mind you that I’m Asian and still got ripped off.
Seemed like a great place and unique concept of where the buffet of $20.90 includes orders from the actual menu as well including sushi, beef steak, prawns, tempura and much more. Really a good selection. Only issue was service with food taking too long and trying to speak English to the server proved unsuccessful. A lot of the food we ordered did not arrive. Some of the food was tasty some not so, like the literally solid hard avocado
The staff were ignorant and the food terrible lukewarm . Toilets were a mess with large hole in the wall and the second urinal broken and covered with black plastic taped to the wall . Not a great selection of warm food and what there was wasn't good . Would never go again.
The first time i ate here,the food was good. But as time goes by. It seems that the food they prepared was not as good as before.it has changed a lot. The noodles has exaggerated oil. The grilliata was overcooked. The dishes now are salty. Maybe they change chefs? I think they should hire a real chinese chefs because they know best how to cook a real asian cuisine.
