We fancied lunch out after shopping in Bolton town centre and couldn't find much centrally so came up here. It's got a really big carpark and it was clearly very busy.We were lucky to get a table straight away.We each had the steak platter and of course I had additional chips. It was delicious. The steak was cooked to perfection. We really enjoyed our meal and we'd definitely go again. Could just eat it all now again... View all feedback.

Not the best setting in the world but the food was very good. We had the lamb shank and fish and chips both of us enjoyed our meals. Would go again for the food. Great for a lazy Sunday after meal View all feedback.

My friends and I visited this restaurant on Sunday, there were 6 of us and we all enjoyed our meals - lasagne, gammon, cheese pie, fish and chips, and 2 roast beef dinners. While it may not be the most budget-friendly option, the service was good and the atmosphere was pleasant. If you're considering a visit, make sure to check if it's still open as it will be closing on Sunday, May 21st to be taken over by new owners. I would definitely consider returning when it reopens to see how it is. - John

We havent been to the Tavern for ages and we realky enjoyed it. The staff were friendly and worked really hard and the food was delicious. When we arrived, we didnt have to wait and was shown to our table straight away. Would recommend the Tavern.

The Sunday lunch was really good my friends and I thoroughly enjoyed it, the staff were very attentive making sure we had everything we needed I would definitely recommend the roast .

We had a fantastic afternoon at the Tavern, service was amazing and the food was outstanding. Only heard they did Afternoon Tea when we came for a meal last month, but we will be telling everyone about it. Hoping to make this a regular thing. Such a lovely ambience, staff are amazing and a great team, the service and food has always been outstanding when we have been for meals in the past, but the Afternoon Tea is a fantastic addition. We felt really special. We look forward to future visits!
