Called I'm for 1 large portion of chips priced £3.80 1 foot long sausage priced £2.50. Foreign young lad said that is £6.50. So I said no it's £6.30 to which he said it's 20p for a carrier bag I said but I never asked for one or dis you actually asked if I would like a bag. I guess that's one way of squeezing extra money out of customers. Also the chips when we got home were disgusting rubbery as though they were Fridays left overs As surely with A1 only opening at teatime now on a Saturday then I can't understand why chips would be awful when we went at 5.30. Will not be returning ever again now. No wonder the shop was empty

Tonight was our 1st visit to A1 chippy , and in comparison to other previously used chippys, A1 was OUTSTANDING. The amount of fish , the chips quality and the curry peas extra portion were huge . Service was swift and polite, and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone in the vicinity.

Best chippy ever!The lady (well all staff) are always happy and uplifting!My little girl absolutely loves her Friday treat.My brother came from Bristol, and even he said its the best chippy!Beautiful people and beautiful traditional food!

Just got fish and chips from here, fried fresh while you wait and absolutely delicious. One of the best fish and chips I've ever had. 5 stars.

Lovely family run chippy. Super polite staff and they're always so nice to my kids. Reasonable prices, good portions, well cooked. What more do you need.
