What User doesn't like about The Sagamore Resort:
For the price not worth it. Lodges are very rustic, no view. Great place for kids…activities and all, and lake is beautiful. But Sagamore is way overpriced. Grounds unkempt. Restaurants at Sagamore are overpriced. If you stay here, don’t eat dinners here. Breakfast ok but better in town. View all feedback.
We were quite disappointed with our stay there recently. The location is gorgeous as are the grounds. The help is fantastic. The rooms leave a lot to be desired for $1200 a night. Old furnishings, dated bathrooms and ancient carpets. The food was okay. The lake views are outstanding. Will not return.
Loved my vacation here. I stayed in the main building. The room was comfortable good size for the two of us. I enjoyed the cruise on the Morgan around Lake George. The property was kept immaculate with gorgeous flowers. Loved the pools, sitting areas, beach and restaurants. The staff was so friendly and helpful in all areas of the property. I enjoyed some of the daily activities such as the ice cream, movie and s'more making. The restaurants were all wonderful. Did not have a bad meal here. Hopefully I will return next year.
Arrived timely and was informed we did not have a reservation, rude hostess! Manager came over and said there was a problem with booking service, could not find our reservation but would seat us at La Bella Vita. We had dinner and my account was charged $100 no show fee. Called next day to dispute that charge, still waiting to be reimbursed! Overall disappointing experience. Thank you Please post
Went here with our family for dinner. The food was excellent and so was the service. I had a filet, which was cooked perfectly. The sides and desert were also top notch. Very upscale atmosphere and the restaurant is on the side of the Sagamore Golf Course. They do not have a kids menu, but the waitress was very accommodating. We brought our daughter, but this is probably not the place for kids based on who was dining with us. Check this place out. Worth the visit.
