What User doesn't like about Ume Sushi:
Some of the fish looked like it had been cut hours before we were there. There was something 'just not right' about the sticky rice.We were in one of their private booths which was nice for conversationbut there were very long periods, especially after the main course wasserved when no one came by to see how it was going. The pricing was very reasonable. For those who love authentic Asian cuisine, this is definitely worth checking out. Nice presentation and good selection of dishes.

As the proprietors are Korean, they make a mean Kalbi dish as well, in addition to other Korean dishes. Simply put, Ume is a gem, especially in Bolton, where GOOD Southeast Asian cuisine is barely represented.
We were there for dinner recently. The service was attentive and friendly, if not a little awkward. The sushi was beautifully presented and substantial. The food was of higher quality than some of the the all-you-can-eat sushi restaurants we've gone to and the bill for our food wasn't much higher than what we pay at the all-you-can-eat places. In other words, we had more than enough food at Ume for almost the same price. It is well worth it. We've also ordered take-out and we really enjoyed it.

For some reason, they were a little slow on a Friday for lunch.I ordered the Sushi Bento box and crunchy crab roll. They were both incredibly delicious. Since they were a little slow, I got to chat a little with one of the owners. I found out they make all of their own sauces and prepare everything fresh. The owners are absolutely lovely people, who clearly know how to make some of the best sushi I've ever had.I'm planning on going back for dinner, as their teriyaki dishes are also supposed to be very good. If you're in Bolton, don't miss out on this gem.
