Fabulous location, quick, fast service and tasty well priced food. They speak English well also, so if you’re Italian is not up to par, don’t be afraid to come here. We had a simple arrangement of their favourite meat and cheese cuts. The platter filled us good for a few hours. This is a walking city so plan ahead as you will get hungry again ! View all feedback.
My wife and I travelled to Bologna on business and stayed at the Art Commercianti hotel which is literally at top of the road this restaurant is located in. It is virtually on the Piazza Maggiore next to St Petronio church. Given that you're in the medieval centre of this historic city it couldn't be nicer. The food is wonderful and they serve on of the most authentic ragu with tagliatelle (not spaghetti) which is how I'm told it should be prepared. Strange wine list though ranging from reasonable to expensive; not much in between. That said the expensive Barolo was lovely, so if you're splashing out enjoy. The staff are great and very helpful (in English which was a bonus) Would I come here again? If in Bologna, absolutely!
Wonderful location in the shadow of St Petronio Church in the centre of Bologna. Friendly staff who spoke excellent English. We discovered that the Bolognese should always be served with Tagliatelle not as the Brits would have you believe with spaghetti The pasta was perfect al dente as you'd expect; ragu rich and full of flavour. The wine list was unusual either semi or very expensive. We elected to choose a Barolo at nearly 200€, that said, one of the nicest Italian reds we've ever had. Would we eat here again? Definitely!
Very friendly staff, fast service, tasty food and very good location. Pasta is home made, sparkling wine is cold, prices are reliable! Thanks for the experience!
