I walked past this place on my way from the airport to my hotel and liked the look of it. I spent 2 evenings in the old town and spent so much time looking for a place to eat that seemed genuinely Italian but with no clue as how to work it out that I decided on my 3rd night to head straight to Lambrusco. I was warmly welcomed, the service was amazing, and the food was excellent. It was very warm so there was no one inside but the outdoor area was buzzing. I had the platter which consisted of Bolognese products such as Mortadella, Tigelle, cured ham and various other foods stuff. There was so much that I took a doggie bag with me. This was suggested by the waiter and there was no snobiness about it. The platter would have fed 2 people easily. Incredible value for €17. Half a litre of Chardonnay was €7. The place was mainly occupied by Italian clients, I was the only foreigner. The experience was so positive that I went back the next night and was made to feel as though I was an old friend. The pasta was delicious and the service outstanding again. This time I ate inside which was beautiful with photographs of the place in the past and a light and airy decor. This restaurant might not be in a fashionable area but there lots of buses from the centre to get there and it is within walking distance from the old town. Go.
Really delicious food. Good service. A little too few items on the menu, but everything was good. The prices are not high and the place is very atmospheric.
Good (almost traditional) Bolognese cuisine at reasonable prices. We tried three first courses: gramigna with sausage, tagliatelle with ragù, and tortellini with cheese, all delicious and similar to traditional fare. The crescentine and tigelle were of decent quality, and the accompanying charcuterie board was excellent. The service was prompt and respectful. The restaurant, housed in a ruined building, is beautiful and reminiscent of a tavern/osteria. It's quiet and has a pleasant atmosphere.
