Gelateria Iglu' - BOLOGNA

Luckily for us, this gelateria was right around the corner from our Airbnb. We went every night, tasting as many of the flavors as we could. Amazing, intense fruit flavors. Deep, dark and decadent ciocoletta straciatella. Perfect pistachio. My favorite gelato used to be Berthillon in Paris, but now I have a new favorite.

Gelati made without the powders so often added now to the presumably 'artisanal ' gelaterie. The owner has also been awarded numerous regional and national prizes for wonderfully original flavors such as 'frutti dimenticati ' forgotten fruits all those fruits that you don 't find in the supermarket because they don 't ship easily such as loquat, local apricot varieties.

Friendly staff. Clean and appealing interior. Beautifully displayed goods. And they DO accept credit cards. However, what the call ice cream cake is simply frozen whip cream. From an American standard, what we bought was an elaborate Strawberry Shortcake. Tasty, but not ice cream.

Good quality products. Interior design needs little of improvement. Please note that this a cash only place.

Is the bengodi for celiacs that can get rid of ice creams, cakes, pastries and other gluten-free leccornie. Mr Antonio never forgets, the quality is at its best.
