Description

This soul-food spot serves hearty, home-style plates—crispy catfish, seasoned fried chicken, oxtail, collards and generous sides—plus daily specials and classic desserts. Portions are satisfying, the space is clean and takeout or delivery is convenient. However, service quality and wait times vary, menu pricing has been disputed, and isolated hygiene and portion issues were reported. Overall it’s a comforting, casual find for families and comfort-food lovers, worth trying for authentic flavors despite occasional inconsistencies.

I'll be honest, I had been wavering for a while on whether to try this place, and now I genuinely regret waiting so long! My main objective was to sample the oxtail and rice, but I ended up ordering a few additional items to get a better sense of their menu, and I was not disappointed! Everything was delicious! The catfish was fried to perfection—light and full of flavor. The fried chicken was expertly seasoned and absolutely finger-licking good! I had never tried fried pork chops before, but now I'm definitely a fan! The oxtail and rice lived up to all my expectations; it was simply decadent… yum! The greens were fantastic, and the creamed spinach was just right. The spaghetti was good, and while the mac and cheese was decent, I've had better. The corn muffins were tasty as well. Overall, I have no complaints. If you're in the mood for soul food, definitely give this place a shot—you won't regret it!

Before long, my catfish dinner arrived, and I was thrilled—it’s always exciting to see a highly anticipated dish come to the table. Let me tell you, the catfish was piping hot, beautifully golden fried, and seasoned to perfection. Each bite was absolutely delightful, reminding me of the best home-cooked meals. The cabbage and candied yams were equally delicious and complemented the catfish beautifully. This place is truly a gem with a wide variety of options on the menu. They even have a special of the day, which is a nice touch. And let’s not forget the desserts! They offer banana pudding, lemon cake, and peach cobbler. Though I didn’t get to try them myself, my friend did and absolutely loved them. I can’t wait to return—probably very soon! This was my first visit to this new location, and it definitely won’t be my last.

Thanksgiving on a Saturday! Comfort food is perfect any day of the week. My partner and I went to IKEA for some shopping and wanted to grab a bite before our 40-minute drive home. We decided to try Mandy's instead of sticking with a familiar option like Chipotle. I'm really glad we did! The portions are generous for the price. You order at the front, and they pack your meal and call your name when it's ready. They automatically put everything in to-go Styrofoam containers, but we chose to eat there so we could enjoy our food hot. The dining area is a decent size, perfect for a casual meal; you just grab an available booth or table. The collard greens with cabbage were my favorite dish, although everything I tried was delicious. I was disappointed they were out of peach cobbler, especially since we arrived around 8 PM and they close at 9 PM.

Their food reminds me of celebrating at daddy's house! Birthdays , graduations, new babies -you name it... soul food or food for the soul/ it's the same. Absolutely delicious! Loved the catfish, greens, cornbread, chicken, spaghetti!!!! Wow... what a meal! Can't wait to order again- they do deliver!

New to the area. This is one of the first soul food places we went to for takeout. The experience was like stopping by your auntie's house who can cook. The place was welcoming and clean. The improvement, though, needs to be made with the server. She kept getting too easily distracted in the midst of me trying to give my order. The small cornbread was unacceptable. Regardless, the place is worth going back to.
