I ordered a steak burrito for around $7 and two steak tacos for about $7 as well, which were both fantastic. However, I also ordered a large guacamole with some chips and was charged $21.00, but I didn’t receive any chips. When I called to let them know, they informed me that it was a fee. What? You can go to any Mexican restaurant and get chips for much less, and these chips were terrible. It’s just ridiculous!

I just had to bring my mother and stepfather along to experience the impressive size of El Balcón. They were amazed by the genuine atmosphere and mentioned that the food was even better than anything they’ve had in Texas! They highly recommend this place for real Mexican quesadillas. The guacamole was fantastic, with the perfect level of spiciness, and we especially loved the pepino preparado—cucumber with fresh cream and shrimp. The service was excellent, and they always made sure to check on us!

Staff is super friendly and courteous. I’ve tried at least 4 different plates and my favorite is the carne en su jugo. I had take out chilaquiles verdes and was not very satisfied with the packing. The serving is definitely smaller than at the restaurant. No sour cream or cheese on the side. But the taste was not disappointing.
