What Sean McManus doesn't like about Merritt's Home Of The Scones:
A sad decline from the years past. Parking lot is full of deep potholes, wait time for our food was over 35 minutes after ordering, and had to wait 15 minutes for a refill on waters. The service was very friendly, but just painfully slow. I ordered the “chicken sandwich” which had beautiful presentation, but consisted of two Walmart level chicken tenders on a hotdog bun. Yes , I gave this place 5 stars. If you're looking for a good breakfast than this local joint is your spot. It's literally a hole in the wall. It's not pretty by any means, it's been around for 50 years. But if your only goal is to get out of bed, get a good meal and enjoy your food, Merritt's is it. The scones are the best. Either powdered sugar or fruit topped, it won't disappoint. Bacon is the perfect combo of salty and crunchy. Pancakes are huge. Coffee is fresh and hot. Service is always great! You can't go wrong Merritt's.
Food, quantity, price, and service. They have it all.
