Staffing issues affect service quality, with undercooked steak and mixed quality on other dishes. Yet, the staff was attentive and accommodating to unhappy customers. The atmosphere is cozy, and the food is delicious, particularly seafood. Music was not everyone's cup of tea, but overall, it's recommended for great food and service. Vegan options are plentiful, and the street tacos and fries are highlights. Despite a lackluster vibe, the made-to-order dishes were fresh and satisfying. Seafood is recommended, and the service goes above and beyond for customer satisfaction. Fish options are excellent, with dynamite salmon and fish and chips standing out. Friendly staff and delicious seafood enhance the dining experience.
I have been to this restaurant approximately 5 times now. The first time was by choice, but the following visits were because others wanted to go. However, my most recent experience on Friday night was the worst and will also be my last. My cocktail was watered down and had a spoiled cherry in it. The appetizer was lukewarm at best, and my entrée was very disappointing. The waitress did not allow me to enjoy my drink or the company I was with, as she seemed rushed to take our order and turn over the table. This was strange considering the restaurant was not even half full. She also neglected to clear the menus from our table, leaving them there throughout the entire meal. Additionally, she did not offer us dessert but brought the bill as we were finishing our meal. I am surprised that this restaurant is still in business, especially with other great options like Wylder and Percy now available in the Boise market. Overall, I was extremely disappointed with my experience and will not be returning. I am puzzled by the high ratings this place has received.
I like this place but it 's not and miss. They struggle with staffing, like most restaurants, but the food is decent and the drinks are good. Kind of pricey, but it 's downtown Boise. My steak was undercooked but it may have been the waiter not hearing I ordered medium rare and not rare. The lobster tail was standard rock shrimp. For those who know, there 's a big difference. My wife 's halibut was good and the imperial dip and chips were awesome. The King Pao Brussel sprouts are not worth the extra cost. Definitely good bar bites.
We had a fantastic dinner at this restaurant. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Our waitress was attentive without being pushy. They quickly and professionally took care of all our requests. My wife and I both agreed that we need to come back soon and try more items from the menu.
The restaurant staff here really goes above and beyond to ensure their customers are happy. We tried a dish that didn't quite suit our taste, and they graciously removed our appetizer as a gesture of goodwill. The food overall was delicious, the atmosphere was cozy and clean, and the staff were incredibly friendly. We also enjoyed the cool 90s and early 2000s music playing in the background. Overall, a fantastic dining experience that we highly recommend, 10/10.
We love this place! It's like a best kept secret! The seafood is always amazing and the cocktails are to die for! Whether you are looking for a dressy-casual night on a patio, or a more posh indoor feel, this is your place! We got the bang bang shrimp as an app, and for dinner, the halibut special, steak shrimp scampi, pom martini, and a yummy coral reef punch. Everything was delicious, beautiful, and cooked to perfection!
