Bodovino - Boise

During my second visit, we waited around an hour and a half, only to be informed that the fridge had broken and our food would not be served. I understand that circumstances happen, but our waitress was inattentive and did not check in on us until she announced the unfortunate news. The third visit was the most frustrating. Our waitress failed to provide napkins, water, chopsticks, or silverware until long after our food arrived. She also mixed up the dinner order and did not offer to refill our empty water glasses at all during the hour and a half we waited for our food, which consisted of just three small dishes. Remarkably, the restaurant was nearly empty at the time. The table next to us had been there even longer and expressed their dissatisfaction with the unreasonable wait times as well. To top it off, after another night of poor service, our waitress took our card and proceeded to eat behind the counter instead of promptly returning it to us. It seems that some staff members lack both professionalism and a sense of urgency toward customers experiencing subpar service. While I appreciate the unique concept of the place and did enjoy the food, the long wait times and lackluster service overshadow the positives. Given the amount I’ve spent here over the past two weeks, I expected much more. I would not recommend visiting unless you’re only planning to enjoy a glass of wine.

We had a wonderful experience at brunch! The food and mimosas were fantastic. Everything was delicious, the atmosphere was great, and it was an excellent value. I definitely recommend it! 10/10 would brunch here again. Thanks, Helen!

Best sushi spot downtown. The sushi chef at the counter knew way more than I have ever learned and made me a special roll of just my favorite flavors. Will be coming back soon

Great drinks, great food, but the service was sub par and slow. Took almost an hour to get two sushi rolls, had to order our second drink at the bar because our waiter didn't come around, and there was no info about specials or happy hour. Overall good atmosphere and yummy food but was confused by the lack of service during a slow time.

Ben at the downtown Bodovino is an incredible bartender! He makes amazing drinks that are always perfectly balanced and delicious!
