This restaurant was difficult to find as the entrance is basically someone’s front door. There is no menu , it is a case of what the chef fancies cooking. You are asked if you have allergies or if there is something you don’t like and...then your meal begins. Lots of little different dishes are then brought to you over the course of the evening. The food was amazing. It was not cheap especially if you have wine but w... View all feedback.
What Carey Cremin doesn't like about Agave Azul:
There is no sign outside this restaurant. You go to the door and ring the doorbell and they let you in. There is a small dining room and adjacent kitchen. The food is carefully prepared, excellent Mexican cuisine. From reading the other reviews, you should realize that if you are the sort of diner who likes to be in charge of his or her own experience in a restaurant, this is NOT the place for you. Do not go: you wil... View all feedback.
Worth going to! Our taxi driver had difficulty finding the place as there was no sign. The place looked like somebody's house from the outside. There are around 6 tables only. The menu is decided by the chef but they did check for any allergies...beforehand. Delicious meal consisting of several small dishes, almost tapas like. Meal was around COP150000 for two plus COP95000 for a bottle of wine. A gourmet evening. Don't expect cheap.
One of the best meals I ever had. Cocktails to match food grade, with tastes and aromas you’ll never forget. If you do not have a reservation, just call before you go and see if they can take you in. Come at opening time as...the place is quiet and you’re more likely to find a table without a reservation. Would love to visit again.
Literally the best food I have for decades, great ambiance, Tatiana and her wonderful team are so friendly, a night to remember
No words to describe the feelings that agave azul inspires! No menu, rustic feel, and the owner always tends the small restaurant. A must for true foodies.
My son, husband, and I ate at Agave Azul last evening, along with 3 others. There is a tasting menu with about 7 courses. The waitress explained each course she brought to the table. Each was excellent, but not your typical taco or tortilla plate. If that's what you're looking for, I would recommend going somewhere else. The food was delicious and enough for all of us. The dinner began with a Mexican petate filled with wonderful guacamole and proceeded to courses of cheese filled empanadas, shredded pork with refried beans, a fantastic salmon ceviche, and more. This is a wonderful place!
