Was Steve Olson at Red Lantern a mag?
The bar in this delightful small town is wonderful, but it would be even better if they expanded their food menu to include more options beyond standard bar snacks. The average cost per person is quite reasonable at $1–10, but it's unfortunate that they don't provide dine-in service, outdoor seating, takeout, delivery, or curbside pickup. View all feedback.
What Jordan Kleen dislikes about Red Lantern:
This is a fantastic place to enjoy a drink with friends. The prices are reasonable, and the vibe is energetic. The staff is attentive and quick to refill empty glasses. View all feedback.

Came in on what seemed to be a slower night, first bar visit in years. Kyle was very welcoming and held a conversation very well. A few other patrons came in while I was there and the general vibe seemed very home like and welcoming. Will be returning soon! We held our ABATE meeting at this restaurant, and they did a fantastic job. It was a little chilly in the bar tonight, but considering it was -2 degrees outside, that was understandable.
You’d never expect to discover such a fantastic little bar in Bode, Iowa! Equipped with two billiard tables, excellent service, ample seating, and a promise of a great time, this spot is truly a hidden gem.
Sarah is a joy to talk to, but her endless energy sometimes makes me wonder if she might actually be one of those robots everyone is buzzing about. Just imagine having the first robot in Bode! What a thought!
